The welcoming of a baby is a time of joy and a wonderful reason to celebrate, so when my friends asked if they could host there baby shower at our house, my party planning OCD kicked in. First off was getting the theme finalised and onto the invitations.

Since they weren't finding out the sex of the baby we decided to go with the best neutral theme for baby shower - Elephants. Elephants are the cutest theme to do for a baby shower. In fact, not only can it be for baby showers but you can surely have this theme for a 1 year old birthday party.

Choosing your baby shower invites is the first step in setting the tone for the rest of the party. The baby shower planning committee (me and two other friends) decided to go with colours of grey and green, but later included yellow into the decorations.

It might not be surprising to you, but there are many elephant baby shower decorations you can find on the internet. Some are handmade that you can buy and some are just manufactured. You can always make you own, which is what we did to help keep the cost down. I designed and printed out the decorations below and sat cutting (luckily I have a guillotine so it makes cutting a breeze.) sticking and glueing. The chevron pattern is very popular and has a modern feel to it. As you can see we included yellow into the decorations to help make the party pop.

Custom Banner
In keeping with the all-inclusive theme, I decided not to create a single statement banner, but rather to give you the option of creating your own. Print out the letters you need, cut them out and tie them together with twine or string together with ribbon.

Cupcake Toppers/Gift Tags
These tags are 4cm X 4cm and can be used as adorable cupcake toppers by attaching them to lollipop or popsicle sticks. To use as gift tags, tie them to your package – perfect for party favours or prizes.

Table Signs
Food tents can be used to label each food item on the table (great for guests with allergies) or for labeling activities or party favours.

Cupcake wraps
The cupcake wraps can be used to wrap around the cupcakes. labels easily wrap around each cupcake for a custom look.
