“WILL YOU BE MY BRIDESMAID?” PRINTABLES
15:04:00WHAT IS A BRIDESMAID PROPOSAL
The bridesmaid proposal is when a bride asks her friend "Will you be my Bridesmaid" to stand by her side on the big wedding day, it has been rising in popularity lately with how-to articles on The Knot and Buzzfeed, hundreds of examples all over Etsy and Pinterest, and thousands of tags on Instagram. Bridesmaid proposals are definitely having there spot in the limelight. It really is such a sweet and sentimental way to ask your girls to be a part of your big day – and they get to keep the card as a keepsake.
I've been married for just over a year now and it has been absolutely amazing. When the time came for me to ask my bridesmaids it was a no brainer that my older sister and soon to be sister in law would be my two bridesmaid. The friendship I have with both sisters is truly amazing and knew I wanted them to be apart of our special day.
However, I did not want to go over the top and spend lots of unnecessary money with the bridesmaid proposal but knew I wanted to do something special to ask them to be apart of our wedding party, but I was on a budget and if I was going to spend money on them I was going to make it worth it and get something they can use long after our wedding.
Here is my example of what I did for my "Will you be my Bridesmaid," something simple and sweet. A small bottle of Champagne and knot earrings with a little note. These elegant printables are the perfect way to ask loved ones and friends to be part of your special day.
Light up the faces of your Bridesmaids when they receive this cute handmade "Will you be my Bridesmaid" card. I'm selling these as a pack of 3 - included in the price is option 1 and 2 printable as well as the earring holder printable.
I printed these on natural cardboard paper, to tie into my theme but you can print them on any colour board you like. The size is A5 so I could fit 2 on a A4 page, to help cut the printing cost. I did 2 different design options, since I wasn't doing the traditional bridal party, both my sister and sister in law where bridesmaids. If you would like me to change option 1 to Maid of Honour, that can be arranged.
I printed the earring holder on normal white cardboard paper. The size is 8cm X 5.5cm. Cut them out and made small holes with a pin so I could stick the back of the earring through, secured them with the earring butterfly.
As simple as that!
What is great about these "will you be my bridesmaid" cards is that you can use them anyway you want. Attach to a ballon, add it to a gift box, punch a hole in the top and add twine to tie around a bottle, the options are endless.
For all of these cards it is recommend that you print them off on card stock/heavy weight paper and cut as necessary. So why not surprise your bridesmaids-to-be with this elegant "Will you be my bridesmaid?" printable card.
