There is no doubt that i am a huge fan on the monochrome look, there is something about the simplicity of monochrome that makes it a timeless classic. Dressing head-to-toe in the same colour is flattering, elegant and time-saving.
The word “monochromatic” breaks down into two pieces: “mono” meaning single and “chromatic” meaning colour. So a monochromatic outfit would consist of pieces of one colour. This doesn’t mean that you would only wear solid black or solid red from head to toe. No, the joy of a monochromatic outfit is wearing different shades and tints of the same colour.
Whether it's prints, stripes or colour blocking, working the monochrome look is so easy, there's none of the worry of wearing colours that don't compliment each other. Black and white make the perfect partnership.
Wearing multiple layers of varied textures of one colour add depth and dimension to an outfit, while also allowing you to highlight, or downplay, certain parts of your body: Wear the lighter hues on the parts of your body you want to emphasise and the darker shades where you would instead draw less attention.
