Trending: The full circle skirt (or skater skirt) and how to wear it
13:59:00What better way to look chic and elegant, than in a pair of full skirts. It's a skirt you can wear four seasons of the year.
Full circle skirts or fit-and-flare (also known as Skater skirts) silhouettes are very elegant and never out of fashion, but form fitting pencil skirts have
dominated the fashion scene for several seasons. The change has been
building for a while, but this season the full skirt is retaking the
limelight. This silhouette has recently made a huge comeback in fashion. There’s something so fun and flirtatious about a full skirt
Whether they are cut on the bias, layered with tulle, pleated,
box-pleated, gathered, paneled, ruffled, inset with godets, or circular,
full skirts are voluminous from the waist or hipbone down. Made of hard
or soft fabric, they move as you stride and swish from side to side.
The silhouette is conventionally feminine and quite dramatic.
The trick to styling a full skirt is balance. Since the skirt is full on
the bottom, you want whatever you’re wearing on top to be more
streamlined and cut close to the body.
Whether you go short or long, that fit-and-flare shape is incredibly flattering. The length is not as important as the volume.
You can dress it up to look preppy or dress it down to look laid back.
Skater skirts with cropped tops allow you to show off some abs and legs,
while pairing it with a pullover sweater looks comfy.
A full skirt is a polished enough look for a tucked-in blouse, but casual enough for our favorite tee, you can match these skirts with sandals, with boots, flats, sneakers, heels, etc.
