LIVING CORAL ON THE SPRING / SUMMER 2019 RUNWAYS
09:00:00We all know by now that the Colour Institute Pantone has named Living Coral Colour of the Year 2019 , also known as the colour Pantone 16-1546. We’ve been seeing Living Coral’s influence all over the Spring/Summer 2019 runways, red carpets, and celebrity street style and we simply can’t get enough of this colour and it’s many vibrant hues.
For anyone in doubt, 'living coral' is said to be a pink-orange coral shade but with golden undertones, giving it a warmth and depth compared to cooler coral colours. It sits nicely between the fleshy shades of pink and the commanding vitality of orange.
Living Coral was a major trend on the Spring/Summer 2019 runways shows, including Prada, Temperly and Brandon Maxwell. This is a shade that lends itself so easily to breezy, effortless, summer style. 'Playful' as it is, Living Coral is actually rather easy to add to your 2019 wardrobe. It is a good shade to pair with bold contrasting colours like fuchsia or deep purple. It is also a great colour to turn into a head-to-toe monochrome look. Find pastel versions of the shade to mix with the more vivid living coral staples of your outfit.
But, as usual, the catwalk is one step ahead of the game. Below are some runway looks to inspire you to go ahead a wear this trending colour with confidence.

Where the catwalk leads, the fashion industry follows - so we can expect to see a lot more of this peachy shade around over the next few months. Move over, millennial pink, another pink-tinted hue is set to take over in 2019 - according to Pantone, at least.
